Dr. Jigar Anandjiwala underwent fellowship training in spine surgery at Indian Spinal Injuries Center, New Delhi under Dr. H.S. Chhabra. He also underwent extensive fellowship training in degenerative spinal disorders under Prof. Kee Yong Ha at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, Seoul, South Korea.

He has an experience in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery from Magdeburg University of Germany with Prof. Jorge Franke.

His medical journey begins from year 2001 graduating from Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad followed with Diplomate in Orthopaedics from the same College. He spent training with Dr. Bharat Dave, Ahmedabad in year 2007 to 2008 and Dr. Amit Jhala, Ahmedabad in year 2008 to 2009.

His experience includes management of all aspects of spinal disorders. He has had experience in the management of all sorts of spinal trauma, from

simple wedge compression fractures to fracture dislocations of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.He has dealt with all aspects of degenerative cervical and lumbar disorders either through a minimal invasive approach or using a traditional open technique. He has had enough experience in using screws and all other fixation techniques for stabilizing the spine, throughout the entire spine.

He has been exposed to the management of spinal deformity utilizing conservative as well as surgical techniques.

He is the youngest and dynamic Spine surgeon in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with latest techniques such as Minimal Invasive Approach towards spine.

Achievements:

Presented a Case of Grade IV Spondylolisthesis- treated by two level fixation with reduction screws at Spine Surgeons’ Association of Gujarat meet in December 2006.

Participated in PG Quiz and won the 3rd prize in Gujarat Orthopaedic Association Mid Year Meet organized by Baroda Orthopaedic Association on 2nd September 2007.

Presented Clinical Paper on Percutaneous Transpedicular Biopsy for vertebral body lesions in 26th Annual GOA Conference, Karamsad - February, 2008. Same paper was presented at Spine Week Geneva, May 2008 by Dr Bharat Dave.

Participated as Faculty and presented Various Classification of Spondylolisthesis in Spine Update 2008 organized as a Part of Elevating Best Practice in Spine by Depuy Spine on 30th March 2008 at Spine Hospital, Ahmedabad.

Presented Clinical Paper on Management of Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures with Neurological Deficit: A retrospective study of 13 cases at 27th Annual GOA Conference, Ankleshwar - February 2009.

Participated In debate on Controversies in management of tuberculosis spine and presented on Posterior Surgeries for Koch’s Spine in Annual Conference of Association of Spine Surgeon’s of Gujarat, on 27-28th March, 2010.

Presented Clinical paper on Adjacent Segment Disease after Instrumented Lumbar and Lumbosacral fusion for Degenerative Disease in Annual Meeting of Ahmedabad Orthopaedic Association on 25th April, 2010.

Presented clinical paper on Adjacent Segment Disease after Instrumented Lumbar and Lumbosacral Fusion for Degenerative Disease on 6th February, 2011 at 29th Annual GOA conference held at Mt. Abu, Rajasthan.
